This unit seems to be well built. It feel solid and is actually screwed together with actual screws and not merely fused together.

The power level lights seem more indicative of the output of the charging system and not the battery - or perhaps a combination of the two.

On my vehicle, all the lights are not always always on, and seem to be a very clear indication of how much of a charge the alternator is putting out as well as how strong my battery is. Those who see no variation may have strong charging systems.

The problem with many 12V car adapters is that they are flimsy. A common weak point is the plug. They frequently come apart. My vehicle has a tight power orifice which can cause damage to the plug upon frequent withdrawal and insertion, so I prefer to just leave it in and daisy chain other devices as needed. This is the main reason for this purchase. The lights let me know that it has not slipped out and left things running on battery - another frequent problem.

Also, the cup holder design is a good innovation. Otherwise you tend to have to stick the receptacles in inappropriate places, like the glove compartment and it is just a mess with wires everywhere.

The blue backlight on the two power orifices is a bit much but at least they do not oscillate to the music. Rating: 5 / 5

It is a malfunction item. At first time I tested it my car cigarette lighter went off, and I had to replace a fuse at my dealer’s place. I did not realize what caused the fuse problem until I was on highway and tried a second time to use this product. My cigarette lighter died immediately. Without power my GPS worked only shortly. I had to use paper map to find my way to my destine. This is worse than to have something not working only.

I ordered this thinking that it would permanently replace my air intake, but I found out that this intake is not legal in CA. That means that the next time my car needs a smog check I will have to put on the old intake to pass. It would have been nice to know that up front. Anyway, installation took about 2 hours and everything went in pretty well. I have not noticed a big increase in power, but it is definately louder! Almost too loud, though there is not much difference at cruising, just when on the throttle hard. I have yet to see what it has done for gas mileage.

I bought two of these. One works great in my wife’s Nissan Maxima. Then I plugged the other into my Subaru and my speedometer/odometer stopped working. When it works, it works great. But when it doesn’t work….well, it’s gonna be a few hundred dollars to have the speedometer circuit board replaced in my car. That’s just not worth the risk.

This intake works very nice. Makes my 09 Civic much more responsive and accelerates much quicker and soother and does so at lower revs then with the stock intake. It does not add a whole lot of HP (5-9 HP at best) but it does help your car make much better use of the power it has to begin with, you will notice the difference. Stock air box’s have so much air restriction, and holds you car back from what it is fully capable of. This intake will definitely help fix that. You will not notice a huge difference in power while cruising at lower revs (though is does make it a bit smoother), but when you get it up to around 3500 through 5500 revs, you will most definitely know it’s working! Gives the engine a great mean/deep sound too. This intake is definitely worth getting if your looking into upgrading the performance of your car.

I bought two of these mirrors, one for each side of my maxi scooter’s side mirrors. I first heard about these mirrors from other owners of the bike I have. The mirrors have a mounting system that I wasn’t able to use, but my situation is pretty unusual in that my mirrors are electric and swing inward in order to get them out of the way in tight quarters. In order to clear my bike’s windshield, I had to mount the mirrors on top of my stock side mirrors further forward than the mounts would allow. This was easy to do, I just used silicone sealer to stick them onto my mirrors and they hold well. This would not be a problem for cars or most bikes. I like these mirrors a lot because I can adjust them so that I have a much wider field of vision than with just the stock mirrors.

I’ve reviewed several Civic induction kit products (web research and actual installs from friends) prior the purchase and finally decided on getting the K&N Typhoon kit. The overall package is well-designed, kit is complete to the last detailed part and the manual is easy to follow. The fun part comes when the installation is complete. The power and acceleration improvement definitely is significant with the throttle response more felt. Rev the engine above 3000rpm and you hear the wondrous VTEC roar. Warning: you’ll definitely be tempted to rev the engine up for the next few weeks.

Pros: easy installation, excellent upgrade, nice sound, uses the stock air pipe

I’ve had these for nearly 5 months. They look and perform well. I think they are overpriced for what they are. Worth $25 for the pair, not $45 plus. My biggest complaint is that they emit a chemical off-gassing smell. I am not sure why (cheap plastic) but they still give my car an off oder after nearly 5 months of use. It is particularly bad on sunny days when parked car heats up.

Avoid unless you don’t mind chemically oder.

I saw these mirrors on other mini-vans in NYC and knew I needed a pair for my Sienna. I’ve always used convex mirrors (the stick-on kind.) So I made sure to look at the brand and buy these EXACT ones. It’ll give you a hand ALMOST eliminating your blind spot and be able to see the next lane over on both sides (if you have these mirrors on both sides.) For the big highways, they’ll be a lifesaver to you preventing you and someone else from colliding into one another when changing lanes due to being able to seeing them when checking before you make your lane change.

Only tire chains I have owned, so I can’t compare them to anything. They are pretty easy to put on once you figure out how to do it and practice a bit. I have a front wheel drive car, but needed all 4 tires chained to go anywhere.

I lasted a winter in the rocky mountains and saw more winter roads than I cared to, and these made me pretty much unstoppable. Bumpy ride though.

This winter I finally got sick of loading my skis (downhill and crosscountry) into the cargo compartment of my MDX. After some basic research, I concluded that this Thule would fit the need.

As usual with Amazon, the order was accepted, filled, and shipped quickly and efficiently – keeping me informed via email every step of the way.

I am not a handyman type guy but this rack could not have been easier to install. 10 minutes in the garage and the only tool needed was a special allen type wrench that was included with the rack! We loaded two pairs of downhill skis yesterday and a single pair of cross country skis today. Both were handled easily and quickly. Although our drive to the ski area isn’t long, there was no noticeable wind noise or vibration from the rack. It’s easy to load and unload although with a high SUV and a short person you’ll probably have to open a car door and step up on the car to reach the back of the rack.

The only trepidation I had was with the enclosed documentation. There is a list of vehicles that this rack will fit and it is NOT the same as the online list. I panicked when my year of MDX was not listed after researching it thoroughly online. It did fit, just an outdated insert, I guess.

To paraphrase an insurance commercial, the instructions and assembly are “so easy a caveman could do it.”

Very happy with the product so far.

I bought this to light my car port area. Installed it in 15 minutes and the light is a bright white. It lights a specific area in front of the light. It doesn’t light the whole area around, only where it pointed. Also be aware, it needs 3-5 days worth of charging BEFORE you can use it.

Ordered these chains along with the tensioner. Chains were delivered in a timely manner. Weeks later, a note came saying they would be unable to ship the tensioner as they were out….period! Chains don’t work without the tensioner guys……!

The item is exactly as described and works great. Fits perfectly with my Thule bars (I have the square ones). I also feel like $117 is a pretty good price for the ability to carry four boards or pairs skis. Really, the base rack and my bike carriers are were crazy expensive, so I’m thrilled to find this for cheaper.

That being said, I do feel the build quality in these is a little flimsy, even plasticky. The clamps that attach the carrier to the bars don’t seem very rigid. Also, the install is really tedious–8 screws that you have to insert with a special-shaped allen wrench. That also means these aren’t terribly secure. With enough ambition, someone could steel the carrier pretty easily.

Anyway, great item, all around. Despite what I just said, my boards felt safe and secure on the highway. The rack does its job and at $117 the price is/was right. I’ve seen these go normally for $150ish…to me that’s a little too much for what you get.

These worked well on my Camry. An easy way to put them on is to start by draping them over the tire, and you can turn the wheel to get at the inside link. The chains got us up a steep snowy hill in the NC mountains. A worthwhile buy!

Liners are deep pocket to catch water and mud but slide around a little too much they need something on the back to keep them from sliding. Drivers side fits well for a newer F150 passenger side is a little awkward.

Before buying I checked tire sizes, then went to the “fitment guide” to look up the correct size. When I tried to install the chains they did not fit! The closing lever/ hook barely reached the first link in the chain and no matter how and with what tools I tried I was unable to close it — no twisted links or cross chains either, to account for the problem. I ended up taking some odd generic chain I had, cutting open a link and, after attaching it to the tire chain, welding it shut. With the added link the product works although it’s still mighty snug. Granted, the tires are brand new and therefore a tad larger than the average for this size but the sizing chart should certainly allow for that. Good thing I can weld or we’d still be stuck up here in the Blue Ridge.

I ordered and received 2 of these lights. I opened the first one and the light housing fell off of the battery compartment. I removed the lens and a retaining ring fell out. I had to disassemble the battery compartment to get enough slack in the wires to see under the LED array. The retaining ring was supposed to be holding the two pieces together (light and battery). I got the ring into the groove on the swivel neck and it held snuggly. I believe that the ring was never even installed. It was difficult to put the ring on properly and once on was very secure, I don’t think that it fell off. I installed the light and opened the second unit. The same thing, the retaining ring was never installed. Both units are up and they work great, good light, good sensitivity, don’t come on during the day. A super securtiy light. If you get one I hope that you are mechanically inclined as you may have to put it together.

These should have never left the factory in that condition.

This ski/ snowboard rack works very well. We have traveled several hundred miles with it and we have been very happy with it. The only word of caution that I have is to be careful not to over tighten the mounting brackets or they may break. All and all I would recommend this for anyone who needs a ski rack.

I’ve had several Husky heavy duty floor mats in the past. I prefer the Heavy duty to the Hskey liners in the front as they are less slippery and thicker. Normally they fit great and last forever. I bought this set for my 2004 Tacoma Double cab (1st Gen). The fit leaves something to be desired. Initially the driver’s side was terrible, but there are pattern lines for trimming it down. After trimming with a razor, it’s a good fit. I’m not sure if this is for multiple models, but I would prefer a fit out of the box. The passenger side needs to be molded differently on the bottom left corner, as it comes up over a bump in the floorboard.

Colour is great match. Materials quality is great, and I’m sure they will last as long as my other Husky’s have. Just a bit disappointed in the passenger side fit. It’s not terrible by any means, but not perfect as others have been. Driver side is perfect after trimming with a razor blade along the trim lines.

Was really happy to find these on Amazon and it had free shipping, too (living out in the middle of the Pacific, we have to pay for shipping a LOT--sometimes the shipping costs more than the item itself!).

However, it is rather pricey for just the front two pieces. would have given it more stars if it was a COMPLETE set OR if they had stated up front that it was not.

I know that the photo was only an example shot and not of the Nissan Rogue, but since it showed both the front and back windows with the visors, thought that I was going to get 4 pieces. Tried to confirm with the detail listing and description prior to purchase, but it actually does not state anywhere the number of pieces or that it included such as front only, rear only, or both. Under Notes where you select the make/model/year of your car, it says, "Notes: Side Window Deflector; Front; Light Tint" so guess that was the ONLY clue that it would only have the front pair.

These fit in the channel and there is no fear of them coming off like those that you stick on with double-face tape. And I am really happy that I can now crack open my windows (albeit just the front ones) in unshaded parking lots (we have a lot of those here) without fear of the interior getting wet if it rains.

I could have sworn that I saw blogs with photos froms other owners of Nissan Rogues with front AND back deflectors, but I went back to the WeatherTech site and found that they only sell the front pair, also. You should verify with the WeatherTech site whether or not the set for your car has the front AND back pairs before you buy! Hope someone benefits from my mistake/stupidity . . . Rating: 3 / 5

So many LEDs are low watt. I think it has to do with the heat that the hotter ones make. But since this is on for only 3-10- minutes, they found a way to make it bright.

I’ve tried 2 different remote starters by Bulldog Security. To me they were easy to install with the “T” harness. But they just don’t work worth a darn. One of mine had a stated range of over 1,000 feet. It would not work more than 10 feet fom the car. It would not start the car in the driveway while I was standing at the back door of my house or while standing at a window about 30 feet from the car. And it was supposed to have a range of 1,000 feet ? Yeah right ! And like almost everyone says, it’s like going through hell and high water to ever get a live person on the phone. And then they act like they don’t give a rat’s a_ _. They are definitely not customer oriented. Very inferior product and company. I will never think about purchasing one of their products again. STAY AWAY from these people and their products ! I gave it only one star because I had to give it a rating to post. It actually does not deserve even one star.

This is my wife’s logon name. The bulldog remote start system came with a 2001 ford ranger that I bought but the previous owner had to replace the battery in the truck. That should have given my a clue. The remote had lost it’s program so i went to the website for some troubleshooting. I followed the steps to the T and got remote reprogrammed. It worked like a charm. A few hours later i used the remote and the truck started just perfectly. Three or four minutes later I went to get inside and head to McDonalds but the truck had already shut off. I thought that was odd because i have heard of other starters letting the vehicle run for at least 15 minutes. Oh well though I figured I’d just start it with my key and head out. With a turn of the key…nothing, just a click. So i pulled my wife’s HUMMER up beside my ranger and tried to jump it off. Nothing but clicks. So i hooked up my battery charger and jumped in my van and went for dinner. Got back home and check the guage on my charger and the battery was fully charged so i tried to start the truck and nothing but clicks. Either the starter is fried or the silinoid is fried. I check all the wires and hook-ups and everything is hooked up correctly. I’m not even going to attempt to contact the company unless they want to come help me unhook it and drop it in the trash can where it belongs. The next time I get a remote starter it won’t cost $50 or $60. I’ll pay for the best to stay away from the headaches of CRAP merchandise like this one. Thanks a lot Bulldog now i have to take my starter off tomorrow, buy another one, and then put it back on. You could repay me the money for the cost but you could never repay me for the time that i will have to waste tomorrow fixing your mistakes.

So I brought this item for my husband fpr Christmas. He really wanted a remote starter so I thought I’d save a few bucks and buy one online. I received it and started calling around to find prices for installation since my husband doesnt know much about cars. Come to find out no place will install it once I told then it was a Bulldog. They said it will destroy my electrical system and it is a very bad ides. So I wasted my money and had to get my husband something different way after Christmas. DO NOT BUY IF YOU VALUE YOUR CAR AND CAN DO IT YOUSELF….(which I told takes hours even if you know what you are doing).

Mirrors look and fit great, only problem was they are wired wrong for the window switch.

They work backwards from original. i believe this can be changed if you switch the wires around,

but i haven’t done that yet!

Great plug. On sale its just a few dollars more than a copper core plug. Seeing that this is for use in single cylinder engines a 3 or 4 dollars is not much to spend for such an important part of the overall engine performance. Ive had great luck not fouling this plug on my CR250. It starts real well even after a crash (usually anyway) not that I like to test anything by crashing :) but it happens.

this mirror was the exact one i needed, it’s the exact oem mirror!!! I saved $130 dollars since the dealer ups the price way high!

Did not come with the tip that screws on to the top of the plug. usless with out it.

Tossed it into the junk draw.

My HP2 was idling rough and the throttle response wasn’t smooth. I installed the NGK’s and the engine improvement was immediate.

This is a good product if you like your tires to look new but not too shiney. It could last longer and attract less dirt though. Amazon shipped it pretty quickly considering it was for free.

The Hopkins 80037 Quick Lock 60″ Extension with 7-Position Pivoting Snowbrush and Snowbroom is an outstanding product. It is not cheap plastic but rather a strong metal; it does not bend and will not easily break. The extension is great and does not bend at the seams. It is a heavy duty tool for the jobs of clearing ice and brushing off snow – something we are well familiar with here in central-eastern Iowa. I ordered three of them for different vehicles and am very pleased. I have not seen such a quality product in any stores; this is superb! My wife and daughter both love their brush/scraper in their respective vehicles. This tool is one that no vehicle should be without during the winter weather.
